ISNHS 121ST HIGH SCHOOL DAY CELEBRATION

Ilocos Sur National High School will commemorate its 121st High School Day on March 25 of 2023. Every year, there is a celebration of high school day with a distinct theme. Two years ago, however, due

to the pandemic, we were only able to celebrate high school   day virtually. A lot of enjoyable activities
and events will take place on this day as the pandemic ends and we can finally celebrate high school
day in person. With our cherished retirees and our special guesses, we celebrated the 121st High School Day with the theme "Renewed Commitment in Defying Odds to Transcend Heights of Exellence and Solidarity." 

When the day finally arrives, the first thing we do is show up for mass in the school's gymnasium at 8:00 a.m. to ask God to bless our school, teachers, and ourselves in order to be blessed and to pray that this high school day will go off without a hitch or distraction. We can finally celebrate high school day despite the two years we have been locked up due to the pandemic as the bells of the marching band
and the joyful faces of students and teachers signal the passing of time. In keeping with our high school's motto, "Renewed devotion in overcoming odds to transcend heights of excellence and togetherness," we guarantee that despite the epidemic, we will work through all the issues.

 

Principals express their gratitude and send messages to ISNHS students as time passes by, saying how happy they are that we were able to celebrate High School Day once more. The crowd became excited as the teachers choir sang and the grade 10 hiphop champs showed off their hype dancing. Both in the morning and the afternoon, a lot of things occur. At 1:00 pm, the third and final field demonstration will take place. The top three grade 10 hiphop dancers performed their dance very well, as did the students
in grades 7 through 12, the teacher, and the grade 9 festival. The students also danced the traditional Filipino galaw. They executed their dances expertly and performed just like professional dancers. It is astounding and unbelievable that they were able to perform as well as professional dancers and choreograph their routines so well while still being students. For the teachers, there are also some enjoyable games like tag of war that they really like playing.

   

Highschool day clebration is indeed happy and fun to do. A such a good day and new experience to all students of Ilocos Sur National Highschool as the 2 years of waiting we finally got the event that we are waiting for. Worth it of waiting for 2 years because of the indeed happiness and joy that we experience. Waiting is worth it.
